WA 520 East, Seattle To Redmond

  1. The HOV lanes are on the right because of how traffic flows off of the 405. It seems weird, but it generally works.

  2. That ramp from I-5 southbound to WA 520 east kinda reminds me of the ramp from southbound Sam Houston Tollway to eastbound Westpark Toll Road in Houston.

  3. SR 520 is a traffic nightmare. It took me 1.5 hours to drive a 15-mile stretch of the freeway from Redmond to Seattle. As for the HOV lane on the right side, it's probably only in Washington State. HOV lanes are on the right side because this freeway has bus stops.
